Oven Fan Replacement in Warsaw — Convection and Cooling

Is your oven noisy, baking unevenly or overheating on the outside? The fan is most likely the cause. Modern ovens typically have two: a convection fan inside the cavity and a cooling fan at the back. We replace both types on site across Warsaw — diagnosing and fitting a new one in a single visit.

How much does it cost and what affects the price

The price depends on the fan type (convection or cooling), oven model and part availability. Convection fans cost more — they operate at high temperatures. Current prices are in the table below. The service covers removal and fitting; the fan is charged separately.

Serviceminmax
Heating element top/bottom replacement (oven) 250 zł350 zł
Thermostat replacement (oven) 250 zł320 zł

How the fan replacement works

  1. You describe the problem — noise, uneven baking, hot exterior.
  2. The technician identifies the fan type and sources a replacement.
  3. We disconnect the oven. For the convection fan, we remove the internal rear panel.
  4. For the cooling fan, we slide the oven out and remove the external back cover.
  5. We undo the fixings, unplug the connector and remove the old fan.
  6. The new fan is installed and the impeller is checked for free rotation.
  7. Reassembly, power on, test on convection mode and listen for any abnormal sounds.

Common mistakes with oven fan problems

  • Confusing fan noise with other sounds — sometimes it’s thermal expansion of metal, not the fan.
  • Using the oven without a working cooling fan — the casing overheats, risking damage to cabinetry.
  • Lubricating the bearing instead of replacing — a temporary fix that lasts a couple of weeks.
  • Buying a fan with the wrong diameter — it doesn’t fit the shaft or the housing.
  • Not checking the motor — sometimes the issue is in the motor winding, not the impeller.

What to prepare before the technician arrives

  • Find your oven model — data plate on the door frame or at the back.
  • Describe the symptom: noise, vibration, uneven baking, hot casing.
  • Disconnect the oven from the mains.
  • Clear space — the oven needs to be pulled out for rear access.
  • Empty adjacent cabinets if the oven is built-in.
  • Photograph the model and send it to the technician.
  • Ensure a power socket is available for test runs.
  • If the oven is in an upper column, make sure it’s accessible.

A real case from Warsaw

A client in Ochota called us about a loud humming when convection was switched on. The oven was a built-in Samsung in a tall kitchen unit. On inspection we found the convection fan bearing had failed — the impeller was scraping against the rear panel. We replaced the fan motor assembly. Tested all modes — the noise was gone, convection working properly. We also checked the cooling fan — it was fine. The whole repair took about an hour. Advice: if the fan starts humming, don’t delay — a failed bearing can damage the impeller and motor winding.

Frequently asked questions

Why does an oven have two fans?

The convection fan circulates hot air inside the cavity for even baking. The cooling fan blows air over the casing to protect cabinetry and electronics from overheating.

How can I tell which fan has failed?

Noise from inside the oven on convection mode — convection fan. Noise from the back on any mode — cooling fan. The technician will confirm.

Can I use the oven without the convection fan?

Yes, but only on top/bottom heat and grill modes. Convection mode won’t work.

What about without the cooling fan?

Strongly not recommended — the casing will overheat, potentially damaging built-in furniture and the oven’s electronics.

Why has the fan started making noise?

Usually worn bearings. Less commonly, the impeller deforms from high temperatures.

Can the fan be lubricated instead of replaced?

A temporary fix lasting a couple of weeks. The bearing is already worn, and the noise will return. Better to replace straight away.

Does the technician bring the fan?

Yes, if the model is known in advance. Rare models may need 1–3 days to order.

How long does the replacement take?

40 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on the fan type and oven design.

Which brands do you service?

Bosch, Siemens, Samsung, Electrolux, Whirlpool, Amica, Beko, Gorenje and more.

Is there a warranty?

Yes, on labour. The fan carries the manufacturer’s warranty.
