Picture and Mirror Mounting in Warsaw — Secure Installation Without Damage
27.03.2026Picture and Mirror Mounting in Warsaw — Secure Installation Without Damage
Hanging a light frame is straightforward. But mounting a 15 kg mirror on plasterboard is already a job for a professional. The wrong fixing, the wrong drill bit, one misalignment — and at best you are left with an extra hole in the wall, at worst the mirror is on the floor. We hang pictures, mirrors, photo frames and decorative panels across all of Warsaw: from flats in Mokotow to lofts in Praga. We bring our own tools, select fixings for your specific wall type, and get it level first time.
How much does it cost and what affects the price
The cost depends on the number of items, their weight, and the wall type. A light picture on concrete is one story. A heavy frameless mirror on plasterboard with adhesive mounting is quite another. Price factors include: whether drilling is needed, the type of fixings required (plugs, anchors, specialist hooks, adhesive systems), and the number of mounting points. Basic fixings are included; specialist systems are charged separately. See current prices in the table below.
| Service | min | max |
|---|---|---|
| Picture / mirror mounting | 200 zł | 350 zł |
| Wall shelf mounting | 80 zł | 150 zł |
How the installation works
- You send a photo of the item and the wall — the technician assesses weight, size, and mounting type.
- We agree on a time — usually the same or next day.
- On site, the technician identifies the wall type (concrete, brick, plasterboard, aerated concrete) and selects fixings.
- Mounting points are marked with a laser level — so the picture hangs straight, not by eye.
- Drilling, plug or anchor installation, and hanging the item.
- Reliability check: the fixing is loaded to make sure nothing wobbles.
- Drilling dust is cleaned up and the level is confirmed.
Common DIY mounting mistakes
- Hanging a heavy mirror on a single nail in plasterboard — within a week it is on the floor.
- Not checking where wiring runs — drilling straight into a cable.
- Using ordinary screws in aerated concrete — they pull out under load.
- Hanging by eye without a level — the tilt is visible in any lighting.
- Ignoring the frame weight when choosing fixings — calculating for the mirror alone and forgetting the solid-wood frame.
- Sticking a mirror with double-sided tape — it dries out and the mirror falls after a couple of months.
- Drilling through tiles without a specialist bit — the tile cracks.
What to prepare before the technician arrives
- Decide exactly where the item will hang — moving a mirror after mounting means new holes.
- Measure the item’s weight (at least approximately) — this is essential for selecting the right fixings.
- Photograph the wall and the item and send them to the technician in advance.
- Clear the area in front of the wall — move furniture, decorations, and rugs.
- Find out the wall type — if unsure, the technician will check on site.
- If the mirror has no mounting loops, let us know — adhesive mounting or specialist clips will be needed.
- Make sure the item is unpacked and ready for installation.
- Provide intercom code and parking information.
A real case from Warsaw
A call-out to a flat in Wilanow: the client had bought a large frameless mirror, 120×80 cm, weighing about 18 kg. The wall was plasterboard on a metal frame. Standard toggle bolts would not hold that weight. We used spring-toggle anchors with a load-spreading plate so the force was distributed across an area rather than a single point. Four mounting points were marked with a laser level, drilled carefully, and the mirror was fitted. The check confirmed a solid hold with minimal gap from the wall. The client had been worried that plasterboard could not cope — but with the right fixings it is not a problem. The whole job took about 40 minutes.
Frequently asked questions
Can you hang a mirror on plasterboard?
Yes, with the right fixings — spring-toggle anchors, butterfly plugs, or backing plates. Plasterboard holds up to 30 kg without issues.
What about aerated-concrete walls?
Aerated concrete needs specialist plugs — ordinary screws will pull out. The technician selects fixings on site.
Do you hang frameless mirrors?
Yes. We use concealed clips or adhesive mounting, depending on weight and wall type.
How many items can be hung in one visit?
As many as needed — you pay for the working time. Typically 5-10 pictures take an hour to an hour and a half.
Does the wall need to be drilled?
Not always. For lightweight frames (under 2 kg), adhesive hooks work without drilling. For heavier items, drilling is necessary.
How do you hang several pictures in a straight line?
The technician uses a laser level and tape measure — all points are marked before any drilling begins.
What is included in the price?
The technician’s labour and basic fixings (plugs, screws, hooks). Specialist anchors or adhesive systems are charged separately.
Can a mirror be moved to a different wall?
Yes. We remove it, patch the old holes, and hang it in the new location. This counts as a separate job.
Do you work on weekends?
Yes, Saturday and Sunday are regular working days.
How quickly can you come?
Usually the same day or the next. Urgent call-outs carry a surcharge.
