Power Module Replacement for Electric Cooktop in Warsaw

Several burners stopped working at once, the cooktop switches on but doesn’t heat, or the breaker trips when you turn it on? The power module is often to blame. This board distributes electricity to the heating zones, handling high currents. Over time it can burn out. We repair and replace power modules on site across Warsaw — from Targówek to Włochy.

Cost

The power module is one of the most expensive components. The price depends on the model and whether the whole board needs replacing or just individual components (transistors, triacs). Prices in the table.

Relay / sensor replacement (electric cooktop) 300 zł400 zł

How it works

  1. You describe the issue.
  2. The technician identifies the model.
  3. Breaker off.
  4. Cooktop removed, power module accessed.
  5. Board diagnosed — transistors, triacs, diodes, fuses checked.
  6. Component-level repair or full module replacement.
  7. All burners tested.

Mistakes

  • Buying a whole board when one transistor would do.
  • DIY soldering on a power board — high currents, errors = fire.
  • Ignoring a tripping breaker — it’s protection, not a bug.
  • Not checking terminals — melted connectors will kill the new module too.

Preparation

  • Cooktop model.
  • Which burners, does breaker trip.
  • Switch off breaker.
  • Clear worktop.
  • Photo of model.
  • Access to consumer unit.
  • Space below cooktop.
  • Any recent power surges? Tell the technician.

Case from Warsaw

Client in Targówek: Bosch cooktop died after a thunderstorm — indicators on, burners cold. On site we found a blown triac on the power module — a voltage spike had destroyed the semiconductor. We replaced the triac and a protection varistor that had also failed. All burners working. Component-level repair, far cheaper than a new board. Work took about 1.5 hours. Tip: if your area gets power surges, fit a varistor or surge protector on the cooktop’s circuit.
