LG is one of the top TV brands you’ll find in Warsaw apartments, and OLED screens from their C and G series are becoming increasingly common in modern flats. Ultra-thin panels, flexible OLED technology, the intuitive Magic Remote — great features, but ones that make professional wall mounting even more important. One wrong move with a 77″ OLED and you’re looking at a very expensive repair. If you’re in Mokotów or Żoliborz and want your LG mounted properly, here’s what you need to know.
LG produces several distinctly different TV lines, each with its own mounting quirks. The OLED C and G series feature self-lit pixels on panels under 5mm thick — flagship quality, but also premium fragility. The G series (Gallery) is purpose-built for flush wall mounting via LG’s own Gallery Stand bracket, sitting just millimetres from the wall. NanoCell and QNED models are LCD-based with wider colour coverage, generally more conventional to mount. VESA patterns vary by size: a 55″ OLED typically uses 300×200, while a 77″ uses 400×300 — always check before buying a bracket.
A key detail for LG OLED owners: a 77″ panel weighs around 30 kg, and the flexible OLED matrix is extremely sensitive to uneven pressure. Gripping the screen during lifting or an uneven bracket can cause permanent image damage — not covered by warranty, just an expensive mistake. If you have an LG soundbar, plan your cable management before mounting: the optical cable and HDMI eARC connection need to be routed neatly and ideally hidden before the TV goes up.
The costliest mistake is touching the screen surface when lifting the TV. OLED panels have no rigid backing frame — point pressure goes straight to the matrix and can cause permanent burn-in or pixel damage. Second issue: underestimating the weight. A 77″ OLED is heavy, and standard plastic plugs in plasterboard simply won’t hold it, especially on a tilting bracket. Third — ignoring ventilation. OLED panels generate heat, and mounting one flush into a niche without airflow shortens its lifespan noticeably. Finally, leaving soundbar cables hanging loose because no cable route was planned ruins the whole clean look.
We start by checking the wall — concrete, brick, or plasterboard — and selecting the right fixings accordingly. For plasterboard without timber backing, we use Molly or Toggle anchors rated for the load. We mark the bracket points with a spirit level, drill, and secure the wall plate. Then the TV goes up with two people, holding the frame only — never the screen. We hang it, level it, check the tilt. Cables get connected: HDMI, optical to the soundbar, aerial if needed. Wiring goes into a cable duct or in-wall chase. Finally we test the picture, Magic Remote response, and sound.
Price depends on screen size, wall type, whether cable chasing is needed, and how much wiring needs hiding. A straightforward 55″ mount on concrete with cables tucked into a duct is quick work. A 77″ OLED G series on plasterboard with full in-wall cable routing and soundbar hookup is a different scope entirely. When a TV costs serious money, skimping on the install doesn’t make sense — one bad moment and the repair bill will far exceed what a professional would have charged.
