A smoke and carbon monoxide detector is not some pricey extra — it is a required safety device. Since 2023, every residential property in Poland has to have smoke detectors fitted. And if your flat has a gas water heater, boiler, or fireplace, a CO detector is a must. Carbon monoxide has no smell, and without a detector you might not realise there is a problem until it is too late. We fit smoke and CO detectors across all of Warsaw: from new builds in Wilanow to older tenement buildings in Praga. Quick, clean, with a full function test.

The cost depends on how many detectors are being installed and what kind of mounting is needed. A battery-powered standalone detector goes onto the ceiling in a few minutes. A wired detector connected to a smart-home system needs a power supply. The price is affected by: ceiling type (concrete, plasterboard, stretch), number of points, and whether cable routing is required. Mounting hardware is included. The client buys the detectors — we can suggest a model. Current prices are in the table below.
| Service | min | max |
|---|---|---|
| Smoke / CO detector installation | 120 zł | 220 zł |

One job in Bemowo: a family with a small child, a two-room flat with a gas water heater in the bathroom. We fitted three Kidde smoke detectors (bedroom, nursery, hallway) and one Honeywell CO detector near the heater at 150 cm height. Concrete ceilings — fixed with 6 mm plugs. Every detector was checked using the test button. We told the clients that batteries need to be changed every year and the test button should be pressed once a month. The whole installation took about 40 minutes. The client said he had wanted to sort it out for ages but did not know where the detectors should go or which models to buy.
Yes, since 2023 all residential properties must have smoke detectors. This is required by building regulations.
A smoke detector reacts to smoke particles. A CO detector reacts to carbon monoxide — an invisible, odourless gas created by incomplete combustion (gas appliances, fireplaces).
On the ceiling, in the centre or at least 30 cm away from a wall. It is required in every bedroom and in the hallway.
On the wall at 150 cm height near gas appliances. Not on the ceiling.
Once a year for standard batteries. Models with a sealed 10-year battery need the entire unit replaced at the end of its life.
Yes, using a backing platform installed under the membrane. If the ceiling is already stretched, an adhesive platform is used.
Kidde, Honeywell, FireAngel, Ei Electronics — reliable brands with certification.
One standalone detector — 10-15 minutes. A full set for a flat (3-5 units) — around an hour.
The technician’s labour, mounting hardware, and testing. The client purchases the detectors.
Yes, Saturday and Sunday are normal working days.

The detectors are fitted by a technician who understands placement rules and knows the differences between optical, ionisation, and combination models. Every unit is tested after installation. We work across all of Warsaw. Call or send a message — we reply within an hour. Better not put safety off.
