Is your oven getting too hot or not reaching the selected temperature at all? In many cases, the thermostat is the culprit. This part controls the set heat level — once it goes bad, the oven can climb to 300°C instead of 180°C or cut the heating off too early. We replace oven thermostats on site all over Warsaw — from Ursynów to Bielany.

The final cost is based on the oven type (mechanical or electronic thermostat), the model, and how easy the unit is to access. Up-to-date prices are listed in the table below. Diagnostics are included in the service; the thermostat itself is billed separately.

A customer in Praga-Południe said sponge cake kept burning even though the oven was set to 170°C. It was an Electrolux, 5 years old, with a mechanical thermostat. We checked it with a thermocouple — the oven was hitting 230°C on the 170°C setting. The thermostat was not cutting the heat in time. We fitted a new genuine part and calibrated it. The final check showed 178°C at the 180°C setting — within normal range. The repair took about 40 minutes. No more burnt baking.
The oven gets too hot (food burns), does not heat enough (raw inside), or the temperature goes up and down. You can confirm it with a kitchen thermometer.
A mechanical one works with a gas-filled capillary tube, while an electronic one uses a temperature sensor and circuit board. The replacement process is different.
Sometimes, if it has an adjustment screw. If the thermostat sticks or does not close the contact — it needs replacement.
Yes — overheating can ruin the enamel, door seals, and other parts. In extreme cases, there is a fire risk.
Often 7–15 years, depending on how heavily the oven is used and the quality of the part.
Yes, if the model is known beforehand. Uncommon models may need to be ordered first.
For mechanical — sometimes, if the specifications match. For electronic — no, it must be an exact match.
Put a kitchen thermometer in the centre, heat the oven to 180°C, and wait 15 minutes. If the difference is more than 20°C, it is time to call for service.
