Electric cooktop repair in Warsaw — Bosch, Electrolux, Samsung

One burner won’t heat, the touch panel is unresponsive, the cooktop flashes an error, or it trips the breaker. An electric hob is one of the hardest-working appliances in the kitchen, and faults crop up regularly. We repair Bosch, Electrolux, Samsung and other brands at your home across all of Warsaw — from Wilanow to Zoliborz.

Important: an electric cooktop is connected to a high-power circuit (typically 32A). Before any repair, switch off the breaker at the consumer unit. Do not attempt to remove the hob or disconnect wires yourself — a mistake can cause a short circuit or electric shock. Our technician works only on fully de-energised appliances.

Current prices are in the table below. The cost depends on the brand, hob type (ceramic, Hi-Light, induction), and fault. Diagnostics are included in the repair price. Spare parts are charged separately.

How the home repair works

  1. You describe the problem: which zone isn’t working, what the display shows, when it started.
  2. The technician confirms the model and brand — asks for a data plate photo (usually underneath).
  3. We agree a time — usually the same or next day.
  4. On site, the technician switches off the breaker and verifies zero voltage with a multimeter.
  5. Diagnostics: heating zone (Hi-Light or coil), touch module, control board, temperature sensor, wiring.
  6. If the part is on hand — immediate repair. If not — ordered, return visit arranged.
  7. After repair, the hob is powered on and all zones and heat levels are tested.

Common electric cooktop owner mistakes

  • Placing aluminium foil or a plastic trivet on a ceramic hob — it melts and bonds permanently to the glass.
  • Using pans with an uneven base — uneven heating, zone overheating, cracks in the ceramic glass.
  • Running an empty zone on maximum — overheating, thermal cut-out trips, heater lifespan reduced.
  • Cleaning ceramic glass with abrasive sponges — scratches that trap grime.
  • Attempting a DIY zone replacement without knowing the wiring diagram — crossed wires cause a short circuit.
  • Ignoring a flashing error code — it points to the specific fault, easier to fix promptly.
  • Connecting the hob to a standard socket — the line can’t handle the load, the cable melts.

What to prepare before the technician arrives

  • Note the error code from the display (if any).
  • Photograph the data plate with model number (usually underneath the hob or in documents).
  • Switch off the breaker at the consumer unit.
  • Remove pots and food from the hob.
  • Let the hob cool down completely.
  • If the hob is built-in, check whether it can be lifted from the worktop.
  • Describe the problem: which zone, which setting, when it started.
  • Confirm which breaker and cable serve the hob.
  • Provide access details: intercom code, parking.
  • Bundle all appliance tasks into one visit.

A real case from Warsaw

A client in Ursynow reported that the front-left zone on a Bosch ceramic hob had stopped working — the other three were fine. Diagnostics showed the Hi-Light element had burned out — open circuit confirmed by multimeter. The connection terminal was also scorched — a poor contact had accelerated the failure. The technician replaced the heater and terminal (parts on hand) and tested all four zones. The front-left zone now heats to temperature in the standard time. The entire repair took 1 hour.

Frequently asked questions

Which cooktop brands do you repair?

Bosch, Electrolux, Samsung, Siemens, Amica, Beko, AEG, Whirlpool, Gorenje and others.

Is the diagnostic fee separate?

Included in the repair price. If you decline, call-out only.

How long does the repair take?

Zone replacement — about an hour. Board or touch module — up to 2 hours.

Why does only one zone fail?

The specific heating element burned out, a terminal is scorched, or a relay on the board has failed.

Touch panel unresponsive?

Try switching the breaker off for 30 seconds and back on. If that doesn’t help, the touch module or board needs attention.

Can cracked glass be replaced?

Yes, but glass with an integrated touch sensor is expensive. The technician will assess whether replacement is worthwhile.

Is it worth repairing an old hob?

If the repair exceeds 50% of a new unit’s price, replacement is advised.

Do you bring spare parts?

Hi-Light zones, temperature sensors, terminals — usually in stock. Boards and touch modules are ordered.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes, on the work and on fitted parts.

How quickly can you come?

Usually the same day or the next. Urgent call-outs carry a surcharge.
