The new kitchen is put together, the worktop is fitted — now the only thing left is cutting the opening for the sink or hob. That’s where the trickiest part starts. One wrong move with the cut and the countertop is spoiled. Even more so when the material is pricey: solid wood, stone, or thick laminate. We cut countertop openings all over Warsaw — from Ursynów to Targówek — and we know how to do it properly on the first go.

The price depends on the worktop material, the cutout shape, and how many openings need to be made. Laminated chipboard is faster to cut, while solid wood and stone need different tools and a different method. The final cost is confirmed after the technician checks the details — send a photo of the worktop and the appliance template. Current kitchen service rates are listed in the table below.

A client in the Mokotów district booked a cutout for a Blanco drop-in sink in a 38 mm laminated chipboard worktop. The issue: the sink template turned out to be 5 mm wider than the real dimensions — most likely a printing mistake in the manual. The technician checked against the sink itself and marked the outline by hand with a 2 mm allowance. The cut was done with a jigsaw and a laminate blade — clean edge, no chips. The edges were sealed with silicone, and the sink was installed. The whole job took about 40 minutes. The client later said that if he had followed the template, the sink would have dropped straight through. The lesson: always check the template against the actual appliance dimensions (compatible with IKEA, Nobilia, BRW and similar).
Yes, that’s exactly how this job is done. The worktop must be fixed to the frame — otherwise it can crack while being cut.
A jigsaw with a clean-cut blade for laminate. For solid wood — a router. For stone — a diamond disc.
Strongly recommended. If it’s missing, the technician can take measurements from the appliance itself, but it takes more time and calls for maximum accuracy.
Stone needs specialised tools and more time. Tell us the material when booking — we’ll send a technician with the proper equipment.
Chipboard — with silicone sealant against moisture. Solid wood — with oil or varnish. Stone does not need treatment.
Yes, we can make both cutouts in one visit. The main thing is to leave enough material between them so the worktop keeps its strength.
One cutout in a laminated worktop — 30–50 minutes. Two cutouts — about an hour. Stone takes more time.
