How the replacement works
- You explain the issue and send a close-up photo — the technician checks the type and chooses a replacement.
- If the hinge is non-standard, we order it or tell you where to get it.
- On site: we take off the door, unscrew the old hinge from the cup and mounting plate.
- We inspect the seat — if the chipboard is loose, we pack the holes with PVA glue and sawdust.
- We fit the new hinge: place the cup, secure it with screws, install the plate.
- We adjust it in three planes so the gaps are even.
- We check the soft-close and test how the door shuts.

- Buying hinges without checking the cup diameter (35 mm is standard, but 26 and 40 mm also exist).
- Choosing the wrong mounting type — clip-on, inset, overlay, half-overlay may look alike but they do not swap over.
- Fitting hinges without soft-close where soft-close ones were before — the doors start banging shut.
- Skipping seat repair — a new hinge in a worn-out hole will drop within a month.
- Using the wrong screw size — too long goes through the side panel, too short will not hold.
