How the home repair works

What to prepare before the technician arrives
- Write down the error code from the display.
- Take a photo of the data plate (model, serial number — usually on the door or rear panel).
- Unplug the machine and shut off the water supply.
- Make space for access — pull it away from the wall, remove things from the top.
- Take the laundry out of the drum.
- Get cloths and a bowl ready — some leftover water may come out.
- If the machine is built-in — open or remove the fascia.

A real case from Warsaw
A client in Mokotow said that a Samsung washing machine had begun vibrating strongly and moving during spin. There was no error code on the display. Diagnostics showed that two of the four shock absorbers had lost their stiffness — the machine had been overloaded for several months. On top of that, the transit bolts had never been taken out after installation a year earlier. The technician removed the bolts, replaced both absorbers, and levelled the machine. A test wash at 1200 rpm spin finished without vibration. The full repair took 1.5 hours.
