Full kitchen installation is not just about attaching doors. It includes levelling the cabinets, cutting the sink hole, fitting the worktop, and installing plinths and end caps. How much does it cost and what affects the price
The price of full kitchen installation is worked out as a percentage of the furniture value — around 20–25%. The final figure depends on how many cabinets there are, how complicated the layout is (L-shaped, U-shaped, island), whether the worktop has to be cut, and what kind of hardware is used. Fixings are included in the labour price. The furniture itself, worktop, and appliances are billed separately. You can find current rates for each service in the table below.

How the on-site work goes
- You send the kitchen plan or photos of the packages — the technician checks the scope of work.
- We set a date and time. A standard kitchen installation usually takes a full working day.
- The technician arrives and checks everything is there: are all boxes present, is anything damaged.
- Marks level lines on the wall — this is the important stage that sets the whole kitchen geometry.
- Assembles the base cabinets and levels them with adjustable legs.
- Hangs the wall cabinets on a mounting rail and adjusts the fronts.
- Installs the worktop, cuts the sink opening, fits the plinth, handles, and end caps.
Common customer mistakes (and how to avoid them)
- Not checking completeness before the technician arrives — missing parts come to light, and the work has to stop.
- Ordering a worktop with no extra allowance for trimming — walls in Warsaw flats are rarely dead straight.
- Trying to assemble an IKEA kitchen on their own using the manual, mixing up left and right hinges — then everything has to be redone.
- Forgetting about cutouts for sockets and pipes in cabinet back panels — the technician has to adjust things on site.
- Not allowing for the ventilation duct — the cabinet does not fit, and a custom filler is needed.
- Buying a sink without checking the depth of the base cabinet — it will not fit or clashes with the trap.
- Skipping the mounting rail for wall cabinets — using separate plugs instead; cabinets start to sag over time.
What to prepare before the technician arrives
- Check all boxes for completeness against the store’s packing list.
- Clear out the kitchen completely — old furniture should be removed in advance or disassembly ordered as a separate service.
- Make sure the walls are ready: plaster dry, tiles installed.
- Bring water supply and drainage to the future sink location.
- Install sockets in the correct places before assembly — afterwards access will be blocked.
- If built-in appliances are planned — they should be on site or at least exact dimensions known.
- Prepare the kitchen plan with measurements (from the store or your own).
- Ensure lift access or a clear route for carrying items in — worktops can be very long.
- Provide the intercom code and parking details for the technician.
- If the worktop needs on-site trimming — tell us in advance so the technician brings a circular saw.
A real case from Warsaw
A client in Mokotow ordered an IKEA METOD kitchen — 12 modules, L-shaped layout, 3.5-metre worktop. All boxes had been delivered, but during the check one door panel turned out to be cracked. The technician began assembling the carcasses while the client arranged a replacement with the store. The apartment walls were uneven — with a difference of up to 8 mm. The base cabinets were levelled with adjustable legs, and the wall cabinets were hung on a steel rail with gap compensation. The worktop was trimmed on site to follow the wall angle. The sink was cut in and the trap connected. By evening the kitchen was fully assembled apart from one door — the client fitted it himself after the replacement arrived. The whole installation took 9 hours. Lesson: check every component before the technician arrives — it saves time and nerves.

How long does kitchen assembly take?
A standard 8–12 module kitchen takes one full working day. Bigger or more complex kitchens may take up to two days.
Do you only assemble IKEA kitchens?
We assemble any brand: IKEA, Castorama, Leroy Merlin, custom-built. The assembly method is similar; the hardware is different.
What’s included in the installation price?
Carcass assembly, cabinet hanging, worktop fitting, sink cutout, plinth and handle installation. Fixings are included. Appliance and plumbing connections are separate.
Do I need to be home during assembly?
Best at the beginning — to go over the details. After that, you can leave the technician to get on with the job.
Do you connect appliances?
Built-in hobs, ovens, and extractor hoods — yes. Gas cooker connection requires certified personnel only.
Can I order just wall cabinet hanging?

What if parts are missing from the set?
The best move is to check everything before the technician arrives. If something is missing and it comes up on site, we’ll assemble what we can and complete the rest on a return visit.
Do you remove packaging after assembly?
Waste and packaging removal is charged extra. Ask when booking.
