Light Fitting Replacement in Warsaw — We Remove the Old and Hang the New

The old chandelier is tired, the shade has cracked, or the fitting no longer suits the decor — time for a change. Replacement covers removing the old fitting, checking the wiring and fixings, installing the new one and testing. Replacement cost

The price covers removing the old fitting and installing the new one. If the fixings are compatible the job is quick. If the hook needs swapping for a bracket or new holes drilled, it takes a little longer. The new fitting is supplied by the client. All electrical service prices are in the table.

How the replacement works

1. We isolate the lighting circuit.
2. Remove the old fitting: disconnect cables, unscrew from the mounting.
3. Inspect cables and fixings: if everything is sound and compatible we move to installation.
4. Change fixings if needed — for example, hook to bracket.
5. Connect the new fitting and secure it.
6. Switch on and test.

Things to watch out for

• The new fitting may be heavier — check that the fixings can take the weight.
• If the old one hung from a hook and the new one uses a bracket, the mounting needs changing.
• Ceiling cables may be short if they were trimmed during a previous installation.
• Swapping a two-group chandelier for a single-group one leaves a spare cable that must be safely terminated.
• Replacing a chandelier with a flat LED panel may leave a visible hook hole.

Warning: even replacing a light is electrical work at height. Incorrect wiring or weak fixings are dangerous. Call a professional.

What to prepare

A real case from Warsaw

In Wilanow a client refreshed his living room and bought a modern LED panel to replace an old crystal chandelier. The chandelier weighed 5 kg and hung from a hook. The panel is light but mounts on a bracket. We took down the chandelier, removed the hook and fitted a bracket on two fixings.
