Coat Hook and Hanger Installation in Warsaw — Hallway, Bathroom, Kitchen
22.02.2026Coat Hook and Hanger Installation in Warsaw — Hallway, Bathroom, Kitchen
A hook or hanger seems trivial, but without them the hallway becomes a pile of jackets and bathroom towels end up on the washing machine. Looks simple — drive two screws. In reality: a hook in plasterboard rips out with the first coat, tile cracks when you drill it wrong, and a wall plug in concrete spins because the diameter is off. In flats across Wola, Mokotow and Praga we install hooks and hangers every day — we know how to fix them to any wall.
How much does hook installation cost
The price depends on the number of fixing points and wall type. One hook on concrete is a one-minute job. A five-hook rail on tiles is trickier — you need to drill through ceramic without cracking it. Standard fixings are included in the price. Current rates in the table below.
| Service | min | max |
|---|---|---|
| Coat hanger installation | 60 zł | 120 zł |
| Shelf installation | 80 zł | 150 zł |
What we install
- Wall-mounted hook rails (hallway, corridor).
- Single hooks — for towels, bathrobes, bags.
- Over-door hooks (with and without drilling).
- Hangers with a hat shelf.
- Kitchen utensil hooks on rails.
- Key holders.
- Double and triple bathroom hooks.
How installation works
- We identify the wall type: concrete, brick, plasterboard, tiles.
- We choose fixings: standard plugs for concrete, toggle bolts for plasterboard, tile drill bits for ceramics.
- We mark fixing points with a level. Even a single hook goes on straight.
- We drill. On tiles — first a spade bit with no hammer action, then switch to a masonry bit.
- We insert plugs and screw in the hanger or hooks.
- We test — hang a heavy coat, give it a pull. It must hold firm with no wobble.
Common mistakes
- Screwing a hook into plasterboard with a plain screw — rips out with the first coat.
- Drilling tiles in hammer mode — the tile cracks or chips.
- Not checking for wiring — the drill hits a cable.
- Using a plug that is too short — the hook wobbles.
- Heavy rail on two fixings instead of four — it bends.
- Fixing into tile grout — the plug cannot grip.
- Not considering height — children cannot reach.
What to prepare
- Buy the hanger or hooks in advance.
- Decide on the location: which wall, what height.
- If tiles — check whether you have a spare tile.
- Find out your wall type.
- Clear the area — remove clothing from existing hooks.
- Have a power socket available for the drill.
- Provide the intercom code.
A real case from Warsaw
A family in Ursynow moved into a new-build — bare walls, not a single hook. They needed: a seven-hook rail in the hallway (concrete), three towel hooks in the bathroom (tiles) and two hooks in the kitchen (plasterboard). Hallway — standard 8 mm plugs. In the bathroom the technician drilled the tiles with a spade bit on no-hammer setting, then concrete with a hammer drill. Not a single tile cracked. Kitchen — toggle bolts. The whole job took 40 minutes.
