Dryer Connection in Warsaw

A tumble dryer is not a luxury — it is a genuine time-saver, especially when your Warsaw flat has nowhere to hang laundry. You have brought the appliance home from the shop, and now what? Electrics, ventilation, condensate drainage — this is not just a matter of plugging it in. Incorrect installation leads to overheating, damp walls, and even short circuits. We work across all of Warsaw — from Wola to Bemowo — and arrive with all the tools and supplies needed.

How much does connection cost and what affects the price

The cost of connecting a tumble dryer depends on its type: condenser, heat-pump, or vented (with an exhaust duct to the outside). Condenser and heat-pump models only need a power socket and, optionally, a condensate drain line to the sewer. Vented models require a duct to the outside — that is more involved and takes longer. A separate consideration is stacking on top of a washing machine: a stacking kit is required and the stability must be verified. Basic fixings are included in the price; consumables (flexible ducting, clamps, adapters) are charged separately. Current prices are in the table below.

How the connection works

  1. You send a photo of the installation spot (bathroom, utility room, kitchen) — the technician assesses the scope and gives an approximate price.
  2. We agree on a time — usually same-day or next-day visit.
  3. On site, the technician checks the socket (earthing, load capacity), room ventilation, and whether there is a condensate drain available.
  4. If the dryer is going on top of a washing machine, we fit the stacking kit and verify the stability and level of the column.
  5. We connect the power supply. Most dryers need a dedicated 16A circuit with earthing — without it, there is a high risk of overload.
  6. For vented models we run flexible ducting to the ventilation shaft or a window. For condenser models we connect the condensate drain to the sewer or check the collection tank.
  7. We run a test cycle — checking heating, fan operation, moisture extraction, and the tightness of every connection.

Common mistakes when connecting a dryer

  • Plugging the dryer into a standard extension lead — load up to 2.5 kW, the lead overheats and melts.
  • No ventilation in the room — humid air stays in the bathroom, mould appears on walls and ceiling.
  • Installing a vented model without an exhaust duct — hot, moist air is blown straight into the room.
  • Placing the dryer on a washing machine without a stacking kit — it vibrates and can fall off.
  • Not levelling the machine — vibration, noise, accelerated bearing wear.
  • Kinking the condensate drain hose — water cannot flow out, the tank overflows.
  • Not cleaning the lint filter after the first cycle — efficiency drops, energy consumption rises.
  • Pushing the machine flush against the wall — blocking the ventilation openings on the rear panel.

What to prepare before the technician arrives

  • Unpack the dryer and remove the transit fixings (listed in the manual).
  • Decide on the installation spot: bathroom, utility room, kitchen, or a separate laundry area.
  • If you plan to stack it on a washer, make sure you have the stacking kit (or order one for your model in advance).
  • Check the socket: earthing, 16A breaker, ideally a dedicated circuit.
  • If there is no socket or it is too far away, let the technician know so he can bring cable.
  • For a vented model, check whether there is a ventilation shaft or an option to run ducting through a window.
  • Make sure there is sewer access in the room if you want automatic condensate drainage.
  • Clear the path — the technician needs to carry and position the appliance.
  • Have the dryer manual ready — it lists the technical requirements.
  • Provide the intercom code, floor number, and parking information.

A real case from Warsaw

A client in the Ursynow district bought a Bosch heat-pump dryer and wanted it stacked on a Samsung washing machine in the bathroom. The first complication: the original Bosch stacking kit did not fit the Samsung, so a universal adapter bracket had to be used. The second: the bathroom socket had no earthing and shared a circuit with the lighting. The technician ran a dedicated line from the consumer unit with a 16A breaker and an RCD. We levelled the dryer and checked the column’s stability. The client asked for the condensate drain to go straight into the sewer, so we connected the hose to the basin siphon. After a test cycle we confirmed that the machine heated evenly, condensate drained properly, and the stack did not vibrate. The job took about three hours, including the electrical work. Result: everything compact, safe, and laundry dry in an hour.

Frequently asked questions

Which dryer is better — condenser or heat-pump?
A heat-pump dryer uses less electricity but costs more to buy. A condenser dryer is simpler and cheaper but consumes more energy. Both types are connected the same way — a socket is needed, and optionally a condensate drain.

Is a dedicated socket mandatory?
We strongly recommend it. A dryer draws up to 2.5 kW — on a shared circuit with other appliances it can trip the breaker. Earthing is mandatory.

Can I stack the dryer on top of a washing machine?
Yes, but only with the manufacturer’s stacking kit or a proven universal bracket. Without one, the stack is unstable and dangerous.

Does a condenser dryer need an exhaust duct?
No. Condenser and heat-pump models do not require external ducting. However, the room must be ventilated — otherwise humidity will build up.

What is included in the connection price?
Labour, basic fixings, travel within Warsaw. Additional materials (stacking kit, flexible ducting, cable, adapters) are charged separately.

How long does the connection take?
If the socket and space are ready — about an hour. If electrical work, stacking, or ducting is needed — up to three hours.

Can I install a dryer in a windowless utility room?
A condenser or heat-pump model — yes, as long as there is ventilation. A vented model — only if there is a duct leading outside.

Do you connect all dryer brands?
Yes — Bosch, Samsung, LG, Beko, Electrolux, AEG, and others. The connection principle is the same; differences are only in stacking kits.
