Clothes dryer mount and curtain rod repair in Warsaw
Clothes dryer mounting and curtain rod repair in Warsaw
Your ceiling clothes dryer has started to droop and no longer supports the washing. The curtain rod has come away, pulling off a piece of plaster. Or maybe you’ve just moved into a new flat in Ursynow and want everything installed in one go — a dryer in the bathroom, curtain rods in the bedroom and living room. One technician visit takes care of both jobs: the dryer is fixed firmly, and the curtain rod stays put instead of falling again a month later. We work all over Warsaw — from Mokotow to Bielany.
What dryer and curtain rod installation costs

You’ll find current prices in the table below. The price depends on the wall type (concrete, brick, plasterboard), the length of the curtain rod, the dryer model, and the ceiling height. Fixings are part of the service price. The dryer, curtain rod, and curtains are billed separately. If the wall has been damaged by old mountings, repair of the fixing area is included in the job.
| Service | min | max |
|---|---|---|
| Clothes dryer mounting | 120 zł | 250 zł |
| Curtain rod repair | 80 zł | 150 zł |
How the installation is done

- You explain the job — what needs to be mounted — and send a photo of the wall or ceiling.
- The technician checks the mounting method, wall material, and the dryer or rod model.
- On site, the technician marks the fixing points with a spirit level.
- Drills the holes and fits wall plugs — choosing the proper type for the wall material.
- Installs the brackets and fastens the dryer or curtain rod.
- Checks the strength — hangs a load to confirm the structure is stable and there is no movement.
- Removes drilling dust and leftover debris.
Frequent DIY mistakes

- Attaching a dryer to a plasterboard ceiling without noggins — after a few days it rips out and takes part of the board with it.
- Putting screws straight into concrete instead of using wall plugs — the curtain rod stays up only briefly.
- Skipping the level check — the rod ends up crooked and the curtains slide to one side.
- Buying a ceiling dryer for wall mounting or the other way round — the designs and fixings are not the same.
- Drilling right into a heating pipe or cable — without checking what is inside the wall.
- Using too few brackets — putting two instead of three on a long rod, so it starts to sag.
- Forgetting how much wet laundry weighs — the dryer is rated for 15 kg but gets loaded with 25.
What to get ready before the technician comes

- Choose the exact place where the dryer or curtain rod should go.
- Buy the dryer and rod beforehand, or confirm the model with the technician.
- Check what is in the package — brackets, fixings, instructions.
- Measure the width of the window opening (add 15–20 cm on each side for the rod).
- Make space near the wall or ceiling — move furniture and take down curtains.
- Check what the wall is made of — concrete, brick, plasterboard (if you know).
- Take a photo of the mounting spot and send it to the technician.
- Have a power socket available for the hammer drill.
- If there could be wiring in the wall — tell the technician in advance.
- Send access details: intercom code, parking info.
A real job from Warsaw

A client in the Wola district asked us to install a Vileda ceiling dryer in the bathroom and replace a curtain rod in the living room — the old one had pulled out together with the wall plugs. The bathroom ceiling turned out to be plasterboard on a metal frame. The technician found the profiles with a detector and fixed the dryer straight into them — no extra noggins required. In the living room, the wall was hollow brick — the previous fitter had used ordinary plastic plugs, and they had worked loose. The technician installed toggle-bolt anchors and added a third bracket in the middle. The 3.2-metre rod now carries heavy curtains without bending. The full job took 1.5 hours.
Frequently asked questions
Can I mount a clothes dryer on a plasterboard ceiling?
Yes, as long as we find a metal profile in the frame and fix straight into it. If there is no profile in the needed place, we use specialist plasterboard anchors that spread the load. We do not hang anything from the board alone without reinforcement.
How long does it take to install one dryer?
About 30–50 minutes in most cases. It depends on the ceiling type and whether the surface needs any prep work.
Ceiling dryer or wall-mounted — which is better?
A ceiling dryer saves more room and works better in a small bathroom. A wall-mounted one is simpler to fit but uses up wall space. The technician will suggest the better choice for your room.
How long can a curtain rod be without a centre bracket?
Up to 2 metres — two side brackets are often enough. Once it is over 2 metres, a centre bracket is necessary so the rod does not sag under the curtain weight.
What if the old wall plug spins in the wall?
The technician will drill out the old hole and install a bigger plug, or move the fixing point by 2–3 cm. After that, the old hole is filled and repaired.
Can dryer and curtain rod installation be combined in one visit?
Yes, that’s how we usually do it. One call-out costs less. It makes sense to combine all hanging jobs at once: shelves, rods, dryers, mirrors.
Do you bring fixings with you?
Yes, standard fixings (wall plugs, screws, anchors) are included in the price. Specialist fixings for uncommon wall types are agreed beforehand.
Do I need to remove the old curtain rod before you arrive?
No, the technician will take it down. Removing a heavy rod at height on your own is not always safe.
How quickly can you come?
Usually the same day or the following one. Urgent call-outs come with a surcharge. Call or message us — we answer within an hour.
Do you offer a warranty on installation?
Yes, on the technician’s work. If a fixing comes loose because of a mounting mistake, we’ll sort it out free of charge. The dryer and curtain rod are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
