LED Strip Installation in Warsaw — kitchen, ceiling and furniture lighting
13.02.2026LED Strip Installation in Warsaw — kitchen, ceiling and furniture lighting
An LED strip is one of the easiest ways to completely transform the feel of your apartment. Under-cabinet kitchen lighting, contour lighting along the ceiling, illumination inside a wardrobe or around a bathroom mirror — all of this can be done in a single visit. We work across all of Warsaw: from Zoliborz to Wilanow, arriving with tools, a soldering station, and consumables. If you are unsure which strip or transformer to choose, we will advise you on what works best for your specific setup.
Important: any work involving electricity requires strict safety precautions. Connecting an LED strip to a 230 V mains supply via a transformer is electrical installation work. If you have no experience with wiring, do not take the risk — call a professional. Incorrect wiring can lead to a short circuit or fire.
How much does it cost and what affects the price
The cost of installation depends on the strip length, routing method, and complexity of the connection. If wall chasing or concealed cable runs are needed, the price will be higher than a straightforward surface-mount in a ready profile. The transformer (power supply) is a separate item — it must be matched to the strip’s wattage with a 15–20% margin. Fixings and small consumables are included in the labour cost. The strip itself, profile, transformer, and dimmer are charged separately. Current prices for all electrical services are in the table below.

How the on-site work goes
- You send a photo of where you want the lighting — via messenger or email.
- The technician clarifies: strip type (warm/cool/RGB), length, whether a dimmer or remote is needed.
- We agree on a time — usually same-day or next-day.
- On site, the technician marks out the route, identifies the connection point and transformer location.
- Profile installation (if needed), strip adhesion, soldering or connectors at joints.
- Transformer connection to the mains, brightness and uniformity check.
- Clean-up and a brief walk-through on using the dimmer or remote.
Common customer mistakes (and how to avoid them)
- Buying a transformer without a power margin — the strip flickers or the transformer overheats and fails.
- Sticking the strip directly to a surface without an aluminium profile — within six months the adhesive gives way and the strip sags.
- Using an RGB strip for kitchen task lighting — coloured light does not provide proper white illumination for cooking.
- Connecting more than 5 metres of strip in series — the last metre glows dimly due to voltage drop.
- Hiding the transformer in a closed cabinet with no ventilation — it overheats and burns out.
- Buying cheap strip from AliExpress with a CRI below 80 — object colours look distorted and skin tones appear unnatural.
- Forgetting the dimmer — then being unable to adjust brightness, and retrofitting is inconvenient.
What to prepare before the technician arrives
- Decide where you want the lighting — ceiling, kitchen backsplash area, wardrobe, mirror.
- Photograph the installation zone and send it to the technician in advance.
- Check whether there is a socket or cable outlet near the connection point.
- If buying the strip yourself — confirm the required wattage (W/m) and colour temperature with the technician.
- Clear access to the work area — remove dishes, decorations, appliances.
- If concealed installation in a recess or behind a cornice is needed — let us know so the technician brings the right profile.
- Prepare a stepladder or advise on ceiling height (standard, 3 m, double height).
- Provide access details: intercom code, parking, floor number.
A real case from Warsaw
A client in the Praga-Poludnie district ordered under-cabinet kitchen lighting — 4 metres of LED strip beneath wall units. On inspection, there was no socket nearby; the closest cable outlet was behind the fridge. The technician ran the cable concealed in a mini trunking along the wall and mounted the transformer inside a corner cabinet (with a ventilation gap). The strip was installed in an aluminium profile with a frosted diffuser — the light came out even, with no visible dots. A touch dimmer was added under the cabinet. The whole job took about 3 hours. The client noted that cooking had become much more comfortable — previously the worktop was in shadow from the upper cabinets. Takeaway: when planning kitchen lighting, think about the power point in advance, otherwise you will need to run extra cable.
Frequently asked questions
Which strip should I choose for the kitchen?
For the work area — white with a colour temperature of 4000 K (neutral white) and a wattage of at least 14 W/m. RGB is not suitable for kitchens — it does not provide proper task lighting.
Is an aluminium profile mandatory?
Not mandatory, but highly recommended. The profile dissipates heat, extends the strip’s lifespan, and delivers even light through the diffuser.
Can the strip be connected to a regular socket?
Yes, via a 230 V to 12/24 V transformer. The technician will mount the transformer out of sight and connect it to the nearest power point.
How much strip can one transformer power?
It depends on the wattage. For example, a 14 W/m strip x 5 m = 70 W — you need a transformer of at least 85 W (with a 20% margin).
What’s included in the price?
Labour, fixings, soldering, travel within Warsaw. The strip, profile, transformer, and dimmer are separate.
How quickly can you come?
Usually the same day or the next. Urgent call-outs have a surcharge.
Do you offer a warranty on the work?
Yes, on the installation — the technician’s warranty. The strip and transformer carry the manufacturer’s warranty.
