How it works
- You tell us the symptom — won’t lock, won’t open, error.
- Disconnect power. If jammed — use the emergency pull cord behind the filter hatch.
- Take off the boot clamp, fold back the door seal to reach the lock.
- Disconnect the connector, unscrew the lock.
- Install the new lock, put the seal and clamp back.
- Test — it locks when the programme starts and unlocks 1–2 min after the cycle.
Mistakes
- Slamming the door — damages the lock tongue.
- Yanking on a jammed door — can break the hinges or handle.
- Not knowing there is an emergency cord.
- Using a replacement lock with the wrong connector.
- Mixing up a lock fault with a control board problem.
