What the job covers
You will not find a company here that takes the whole bathroom turnkey, with a site manager and one quote for everything. Nobody on the platform moves pipes inside walls or runs new water lines either. What does work is splitting the renovation into clear jobs: the WC frame, bath, shower, drain, wall levelling, painting. Each one gets its own offers and you pick. You set the order and the dates yourself, so sketch a plan before the first tradesperson walks in with tools.
- Concealed WC frame and wall-hung toilet
- Bath or shower enclosure
- Linear floor drain
- Vanity unit with basin, towel rail
- Fresh silicone around bath and shower tray
- Levelling walls after old tiles come off

A bathroom renovation step by step
A bathroom renovation is several trades in sequence: strip-out, plumbing, electrics, levelling the walls, waterproofing, tiling and finally fitting the sanitaryware. In the app you can describe the whole project or book stages separately, such as WC frame replacement, bathtub replacement or vanity unit installation after tiling.
The order causes the most trouble. The concealed frame and drains must be in before the tiles, the bath usually too, while floor-standing toilet installation or the vanity unit comes after grouting. Agree on this at the very start, even if each stage is done by someone different.
Bathrooms in Warsaw flats
Prefab blocks from the 1970s and 80s have small bathrooms, walls often of concrete panels, and the risers behind boxing of board or brick. During a renovation a section of old pipe by the riser sometimes has to be replaced, which means the building manager shutting off water for the whole stairwell. Pre-war tenements in Śródmieście or Praga add crooked walls and old floors that call for lightweight finishes. New developer flats in Białołęka or Wola usually come with screed and plaster, so the job comes down to finishing to your design.
Hot water and heating
During a renovation, think about what is hard to change later: a heated towel rail, a spot for the washing machine with a waste and a socket, and, in flats without mains hot water, water heater installation. A water heater needs a solid wall and a suitably protected circuit, so plan it before the tiles go on.
What affects the price
Every job has its own line in the table. A few things move the amount in an offer:
- the state of the walls and floor once the old tiles are off
- whether the water and waste outlets are where the new fittings go
- what you are fitting: a WC frame, a walk-in shower and a panelled bath are different jobs
- access, since a cramped bathroom with a narrow door takes longer
- how many jobs have to be lined up and how many visits that means
What to watch out for
Tiling before the WC frame and drain
The frame and linear drain go in before the tiles. Do it the other way round and the fresh wall gets broken open again.
A shower with no waterproofing
Grout lets water through. Without a liquid membrane it soaks into the wall and the floor slab and turns up in the flat below.
Working on water with the riser open
Before anyone undoes a hose or a trap, close the valve on the riser or by the meter. After fitting, turn the water back on and check every joint before the boxing goes on.
DIY electrics in the bathroom
Lights, a socket or an electric towel rail near water need earthing and an RCD. Leave it to an electrician.
Before the visit
- A plan in order: strip-out, walls, plumbing, tiles, fitting
- Photos of the bathroom and where the water and waste pipes come out
- The fittings already bought, or an agreement on who buys them
- Access to the riser valve; in blocks in Mokotów or Bielany the building manager often shuts the riser, so tell them in advance
- Who takes the rubble away and carries materials up: both are separate items

Questions about bathroom renovation
Can I order a turnkey bathroom renovation?
Not as one contract with a site manager and a single quote. In the app you describe the jobs separately, get offers and choose. Some tradespeople will take several items at once, but you coordinate the order and the dates.
Will someone move pipes or put in new water lines?
No, tradespeople on the platform do not take that work. They connect fittings to the outlets you already have: WC frame, bath, shower, basin. If the pipework has to move, that happens first and you book the fitting afterwards.
How much does a bathroom renovation cost?
There is no single price per bathroom. Prices for individual jobs are in the table on this page; tiling prices are still being added. The tradesperson gives the exact amount in the offer, from photos or after a visit.
Are materials included?
No. You buy the bath, enclosure, WC frame, tiles, adhesive and silicone yourself, or ask the tradesperson to buy them and pay for them on top. Small fixings are usually included. Rubble removal and carrying materials in are separate items.
What about tiling and waterproofing?
Both are in the catalogue, though prices are not up yet. A tiler quotes in the offer and you compare it with others.
Who is responsible for the quality and issues the invoice?
The tradesperson who does that job. We connect you through the app, where you see offers and ratings and agree the scope.
How long does renovating a small bathroom take?
Usually one to several weeks, depending on the scope and the drying time of waterproofing, adhesive and grout. The handyman gives a schedule in the offer.
Can I stay in the flat during a bathroom renovation?
Usually yes, though without a bathroom for part of the time. Plan where to wash, and ask the handyman which days the water will be off.
Who buys the tiles and sanitaryware?
Usually the client, as you choose the look. The handyman will suggest quantities and advise what suits the pipework.
Describe the job in the app.
Handymen send offers at their own price, and you pick one.
