Burner / Heating Zone Replacement for Electric Cooktop in Warsaw

One burner has stopped warming up, heats only on part of the ring, or you can see dark marks under the glass? In ceramic cooktops, the heating zones are coil or ribbon elements mounted under the glass top. With time they burn out — often after 5–10 years of regular use. We replace burners on site all over Warsaw and match a compatible zone to your model.

How much does it cost

The cost depends on the type of zone (single, dual, expandable), its wattage, and the cooktop model. You can see the current prices in the table. The service includes removal and installation; the element itself is billed separately.

How the replacement works

  1. You explain the problem — which zone is not heating.
  2. The technician checks the model and finds the correct part.
  3. We turn off the breaker — cooktops run on a separate 32A circuit.
  4. The cooktop is taken out and turned over to reach the underside.
  5. We unplug the wiring and remove the faulty zone.
  6. The replacement zone is fitted and wired in.
  7. The cooktop is put back in place and all zones are tested on different power settings.

Common mistakes

  • Mistaking a burnt heating zone for a relay problem.
  • Ordering a zone without checking the diameter and wattage.
  • Trying to replace it without turning off the breaker — 220–380V.
  • Using the cooktop for years with one dead zone — putting extra load on the others.
  • Skipping the terminal check — melted connectors can burn the new one out again.

A real case from Warsaw

A client in Ursynów called us about the large rear burner on an Electrolux cooktop that was completely cold, even though the indicator was on. The cooktop was 8 years old. We took it out and checked it — the heating zone had an open circuit where the coil had burned through. We installed a compatible 2000W zone. All burners worked properly after testing, including the expandable one. The whole job took around an hour. Tip: if the indicator comes on but the zone stays cold, the element is burnt out, not the electronics.
