What the price depends on
It’s priced per mattress. Size, one side or both, how dirty it is and whether there are difficult stains such as blood, urine or rust all count. A cot mattress and a large double are very different amounts of work. Rates are in the table.
| Service | Price |
|---|---|
| Mattress cleaning | 120–250 zł/szt |
Indicative prices. Ranges for a typical scope. Fixings included, materials separate. Minimum order 300 zł.
If a particular stain needs a separate product, or a removable cover is washed on its own, that’s agreed in the offer. Taking away the old mattress, should you decide to replace it, is a separate service too.

How a mattress is cleaned
Usually the mattress is thoroughly vacuumed first, then a cleaning solution goes on, is left to work, brushed in, and the dirt is pulled out with the water by an extraction machine. That’s a wet vacuum that sprays the solution and sucks it straight back up. Stains are treated separately, before the main clean.
Drying matters as much as the cleaning. A mattress takes a few hours to dry, depending on its thickness and how well the room is aired. Make the bed while it’s still damp and mould can start inside, bringing a smell with it. Open a window, put a fan nearby and leave the bedding until the evening.
Not every mattress gets on with water. Memory foam and latex are cleaned with as little moisture as possible, and some models have a removable cover that can go in the washing machine. It’s all on the label, so take a photo of it before ordering.
Old urine, blood or rust stains often fade after cleaning but don’t disappear completely. If the mattress smells but has no stains, ozone treatment sometimes helps; that’s a separate service. If anyone at home has allergies, or there are small children or pets, tell the handyman in advance so the product can be chosen accordingly. The room is aired during cleaning and drying.
How the cleaning works
- The handyman looks at the mattress, the label and the stains, and says what will come out and what may stay.
- The mattress is vacuumed on both sides with an upholstery nozzle.
- Stains are treated separately with a suitable product.
- The whole surface is cleaned with solution and the extractor, taking care not to soak it.
- The mattress is stood up to dry with air reaching both sides, and you are told when it can be slept on.
Common mistakes
- Putting bedding on a mattress that hasn’t dried yet.
- Scrubbing a stain with a stiff brush, which only spreads it wider.
- Pouring water onto the mattress, where it soaks deep into the filling.
- Trying everything under the sink on a stain until it can no longer be removed.
- Memory foam cleaned like an ordinary sprung mattress, without a look at the label.
What to prepare
- Photos of the whole mattress, close-ups of the stains and the label.
- The mattress size and how many there are.
- Bedding and mattress protector taken off before the handyman arrives.
- A socket near the bed and somewhere the mattress can stand while it dries.
- A note in the job on what you’ve already tried on the stains.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a mattress take to dry after cleaning?
A few hours, depending on thickness, filling and airing. The handyman can say more precisely once they see the mattress.
Do all stains come out?
Fresh everyday stains usually do. Old urine, blood and rust marks often fade but can stay visible.
How often should a mattress be cleaned?
There’s no hard rule. Regular vacuuming and a washable mattress protector push the next clean back considerably.
Can a mattress in a child’s room be cleaned?
Yes. Let the handyman know and they’ll pick the product. The room is aired afterwards, and the mattress needs to be dry before bedtime.
How to order
Describe in the app what mattress you have, its size and what’s wrong with it, and add photos of the stains and the label. Tradespeople near you will send offers with their own price and timing. Pick one by reviews; only that person sees your address.
You pay the handyman directly and they issue the invoice. They stand behind their own work: if their cleaning left water marks, they’ll clean it again. Old stains that won’t come out and worn filling are not on them.
