Privacy Policy

1. General provisions

This Privacy Policy sets out the rules for processing and protecting personal data provided by users when using https://www.handyman24.eu. Personal data is processed under applicable law, including Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data, repealing Directive 95/46/EC (the General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR).

2. Definitions

Personal Data means information relating to an identified or identifiable person, including name, address, email address or telephone number. Privacy Policy means this policy. GDPR means Regulation (EU) 2016/679. Website means the service at https://www.handyman24.eu. Users are people using that website. Contractor means a service provider cooperating with the Website. Request for Contact with a Contractor means a declaration submitted by a User by telephone or through the Order Form to obtain a Contractor’s contact details for a craft service offered by that Contractor.

5. Purposes, legal bases and retention periods

Personal data is processed to market the Controller’s products, on the basis of consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, until consent is withdrawn.

To fulfil a Request for Contact with a Contractor, under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, during the contract and afterwards for the period required by applicable law to handle complaints and secure or pursue claims.

To provide the electronic Order Form service, under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, during that service and afterwards for the period required by applicable law to handle complaints and secure or pursue claims.

To meet a legal obligation, including accounting or tax obligations, under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR, until the obligation has been fulfilled.

To pursue the Controller’s legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: handling requests and complaints or answering questions, for the period required to handle complaints and secure or pursue claims; and pursuing or securing claims for the period prescribed by applicable law.

6. Providing personal data

Providing personal data is voluntary, but is a contractual requirement. Failure to provide it may prevent fulfilment of a Request for Contact with a Contractor.

7. Categories of recipients

Users’ personal data may be shared with Contractors, the Controller’s employees and associates, hosting and IT system providers, subcontractors and business partners, other entities providing services to the Controller, and those entities’ employees or associates. The Controller may also process the data of users visiting or interacting with the Controller’s Facebook and Instagram pages. Those platforms operate independently of the Website and are not supervised by it. They may have their own privacy policies, which users should review.

8. Transfers to third countries or international organisations

If personal data is transferred to recipients outside the European Economic Area, it will be transferred only to entities providing appropriate safeguards and guaranteeing data subjects’ rights. For example, the Controller may use IT providers established outside the EEA. Such transfers will be based on applicable law and an appropriate agreement containing standard data protection clauses adopted by the European Commission. A copy of the data transferred to a third country may be requested from the Controller.

9. Users’ rights

Users have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Where processing relies on consent, consent may be withdrawn at any time; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. Users may complain to the President of the Polish Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych) if they consider that the processing infringes applicable law.

10. Profiling

Users’ personal data may be subject to profiling: automated analysis or prediction of a user’s behaviour on the Website, for example by analysing Requests for Contact. This may result in offers matching the user’s interests or preferences. The decision whether to act on a notification or proposal belongs solely to the User.

11. Cookies

Cookies are data stored on users’ devices for using websites, particularly text files containing the originating website’s name, their storage period and a unique number.

The Website does not automatically collect information other than information contained in cookies.

The Controller uses cookies to adapt website content to a user’s preferences, including recognising their device, and to create anonymous statistics that do not identify the user.

Cookies used by the Website’s partners are subject to their own privacy policies.

Cookie protection can be configured in each browser, including blocking cookies completely. Blocking may improve privacy but may prevent some Website functions from working.

12. Final provisions

The Controller may amend this Privacy Policy for important reasons, including changes in the law or in Website functionality, to the extent those changes affect this Policy. The current Privacy Policy will be available on the Website.
