Where age works against you, and where it helps
In delivery and warehouse work the body is a consumable: targets, night shifts, hours on your feet. For a handyman it is the opposite: the client pays for precision and care, not for running speed. People hand their apartment keys to an experienced person far more willingly than to a twenty-year-old: every tradesman rating shows it.
The experience you already have
By 45+ most of us have hung, assembled and fixed more than many a young tradesman has seen in pictures. Shelves, curtain rods, taps, furniture, locks, sockets — if you have done it at home, you are ready for starter orders. Professional experience in electrics, plumbing or finishing means expensive requests right away.
A pace you choose yourself
Orders take one to three hours, and how many to take per day is your call. This is not a “12 hours on your feet” shift: you can work calmly, with breaks, in your own area, Żoliborz, Mokotów or your own neighbourhood. Pay is for the result: a busy handyman makes 600–1000 zł a day, and age has no effect on that number.

FAQ
I am over 50 — is it too late to start?
No. What matters to the client is that the shelf hangs straight and the tradesman arrives on time. Profile ratings work the same at 30 and at 60.
My health is not what it was: I don’t want heavy work
Pick orders that suit you: furniture assembly, mounting, locks, taps. You simply don’t have to take heavy demolition or moving jobs.
I do not have a company in Poland: is that a problem?
A company is not required to start. Everyone here works for themselves: some start without registering while turnover stays within the limit, others open a JDG or a spółka straight away. Which form to choose and how to report is your call.
