Small repairs in apartments are the same work you do on site, except the order is yours, the client is yours and the money is yours. An honest look at how apartment jobs differ from site work and how to switch.
Why apartment jobs beat the construction site

The key difference: you sell the result, not a working day. On site the day rate is fixed, and no amount of extra effort moves the ceiling. A busy handyman at HandyMan24 makes 600–1000 zł a day, nobody assigns you to a site “from fence till lunch”: you decide which orders to take. And you work in apartments, not on concrete in a draught.
Your skills are already job-ready

What counts as routine work on site — drywall, filling, painting, tiling, door installation, laying panels, is a stand-alone, well-paid order in an apartment. Mounting shelves, assembling furniture or replacing a tap will feel like a warm-up after site work.
A specialisation helps too: electricians, plumbers and tilers get the more expensive requests, and they are constantly in short supply.
No middlemen, no waiting for your pay

On site the general contractor, the subcontractor and the crew chief all stand between you and your money, and each of them can “hold” it. Here there is no chain: the scope and price are fixed in the app before work starts, and the client pays for the completed order. No big jobs agreed “on a word” either: everything is written down.
How to switch: 4 steps

- Register a specialist account in the app.
- A short call: experience, specialisation, area — Wola or Ursynów, for example.
- Requests arrive in the app: take the ones that fit; you can leave the site gradually.
- Do the jobs and collect reviews: the stream of orders grows with your rating.
What you need to start

- tools you most likely already own (a drill, a level, filling knives — depending on specialisation)
- legal stay in Poland
- conversational Polish, Ukrainian, Russian or English — enough to agree things with a client
- a phone with mobile internet: orders and communication go through the app
Detailed terms of cooperation are on the “Jobs for professionals” page.
FAQ
I have only worked on sites and never dealt with clients: will I manage?
Yes. The scope and price are agreed in the app before work starts, your part is to do the job and hand it over. A get-things-agreed level of language is enough.
Can I combine it with site work at first?
Yes. Take orders for evenings and weekends and leave the site once the stream of orders becomes stable.
I do not have a company in Poland — is that a problem?
A company is not required to start. Everyone here works for themselves: some start without registering while turnover stays within the limit, others open a JDG or a spółka straight away. Which form to choose and how to report is your call.
Ready to try? Registration takes a few minutes, and you can browse the first requests with no obligations.
Order in the app
Describe the job, add photos and the address. Tradespeople send their own prices and dates, and you pick one of the offers.
