- Take off the top cover — the valve sits at the rear top with the supply hose connected.
- Check the coil with a multimeter: it should show 2–4 kΩ.
- Remove hoses and connector, install the new valve.
- Turn the water back on, test: fast fill, no drips, stops after filling.
Mistakes
- Skipping the tap check: it might simply be shut.
- Mixing it up with a blocked inlet mesh filter.
- Missing constant filling: risk of flooding.
