Below we split the kitchen into parts, give indicative ranges from the HandyMan24 price list (Warsaw) and an order of work that keeps you from paying for anything twice. Rates in other cities may differ, but the maths is the same. We also say plainly what you can’t order through the app.
What a kitchen renovation cost is made of

Start with a simple split: what you buy and what you pay tradespeople for. The units, worktop, sink, tap, appliances, tiles and paint are on you. The platform doesn’t sell furniture or materials, so a tradesperson’s bid covers labour only.
- Fitting the kitchen units. Charged as a percentage of the furniture price: a pricier kitchen means pricier fitting.
- Worktop: cutting to size, fitting, corner joints, cut-outs for the sink and hob.
- Appliance hook-ups: induction hob, oven, integrated dishwasher and fridge. An induction hob usually needs its own circuit from the fuse box.
- Gas cooker. Only a tradesperson with gas qualifications connects it.
- Splashback between the worktop and wall units, most often tiled.
- Walls: filling where needed, then painting.
- Lighting: a ceiling light and LED strip under the wall units.
What’s missing? Kitchen design, furniture sales and moving a gas pipe. There’s also no single “turnkey” contractor with a site manager and one quote for everything: tradespeople price each job separately, and an order with several services can go to several people. The platform doesn’t cover rerouting pipes inside walls, screeds or machine plastering either. If your kitchen needs them, plan them early and separately.

Kitchen job prices: indicative ranges

Below are indicative ranges from the HandyMan24 price list (Warsaw). Other cities may differ. The final price comes from the tradesperson in their bid anyway, after they’ve seen your photos and description.
| Service | Price |
|---|---|
| Assemble kitchen units (base and wall cabinets) | 400–1000 zł/mb |
| Kitchen worktop installation | 70–200 zł/mb |
| Worktop joining | 190–300 zł/szt |
| Worktop cut-out (sink, hob) | 150–300 zł/szt |
| Connect induction / ceramic hob | 180–350 zł/szt |
| Built-in dishwasher connection | 280–400 zł |
| LED strip installation | 60–90 zł/mb |
| Walls and ceilings, one colour (2 coats) | 30–50 zł/m² |
Indicative prices. Ranges for a typical scope. Fixings included, materials separate. Minimum order 300 zł.
Fitting a full set of kitchen units costs 20–25% of the furniture price. Worktop fitting runs from 200 to 350 zł per running metre, a worktop joint from 190 to 300 zł, and each cut-out for a sink or hob from 120 to 200 zł. Connecting an induction hob costs from 250 to 400 zł, an integrated dishwasher from 150 to 300 zł. LED strip comes to 60–90 zł per metre, and painting walls in one colour to 30–45 zł/m².
Say you have an L-shaped kitchen: two worktop sections with one joint, two cut-outs (sink and hob), an induction hob, an integrated dishwasher and a few metres of LED under the units. Roughly, you add up: a percentage of the furniture price, worktop metres times the rate, one joint, two cut-outs, two hook-ups, metres of strip. Plug in your own sizes and furniture price and you’ll see the range before you even post the job.
The tiled splashback is the hardest part to predict. We don’t show tiling prices in the table; the tradesperson quotes them in the bid, since a lot depends on tile size and how many cuts go around sockets. Fixings are usually part of the fitting price, while materials, carrying the furniture in and taking rubbish away are charged separately. Check that in the bid. More on cutting and joining the worktop in our article on kitchen worktop installation.
The order of work, so you don’t pay twice

Most extra charges come from doing things in the wrong order. The walls are already painted and the electrician is only now cutting a chase. Or the worktop is down and it turns out the dishwasher won’t fit the gap.
- Strip out the old kitchen. You’ll see straight away what state the walls, sockets and valves are in.
- Electrics: a dedicated circuit for the induction hob, sockets above the worktop, power for the LED. Walls get chased here, so it goes before painting.
- Walls: filling, primer, paint. Before the units, because a roller won’t fit behind hung cabinets.
- Base and wall units, levelling, door adjustment.
- Worktop: cutting, joints, sink and hob cut-outs, sealing the edges.
- Hook-ups: sink, dishwasher, hob, oven. Gas only by a qualified tradesperson.
- Last come the splashback, worktop trims and under-cabinet lighting.
With electricity, gas and water there’s no “I’ll just have a go”. Before work on the wiring the breaker goes off; before connecting the sink and dishwasher the valve is shut. A gas cooker is connected only by a tradesperson with gas qualifications, who checks for leaks afterwards. The tradesperson’s profile in the app shows whether those qualifications have been verified. Moving a gas pipe isn’t something you can order through the app.
Where the budget usually leaks

These mistakes come up in kitchens again and again. Each one ends in an extra charge or a redo.
- Buying an induction hob before anyone looked at the fuse box. Without a dedicated circuit one has to be run, and there’s no such item in our price list: an electrician prices it after a visit.
- Picking a dishwasher by eye. An integrated niche has exact dimensions, and nobody is going to shift a finished worktop.
- No template for the sink and hob. A cut-out in the worktop is made once; you can’t undo a mistake, only replace the worktop.
- Uneven walls behind the wall units. The cabinet will hang, but the gap by the splashback stays visible. Walls get straightened before fitting, not after.
- The cheapest bid with no scope. One price may include the worktop and cut-outs, another just the cabinets. Compare what’s included, not only the number.
How fitting the units actually goes, from levelling to doors, is covered in our article on kitchen furniture installation.
How to prepare the job and compare bids

The more precisely you describe the kitchen, the closer the bids will be. Before posting the job, gather:
- photos of the wall where the kitchen will go, and of the fuse box;
- the cabinet layout from the furniture seller or a designer (tradespeople in the app don’t do design);
- worktop length in running metres and the number of joints;
- a list of appliances to connect, noting whether the hob already has its own circuit;
- the furniture delivery date, so nobody turns up to sealed boxes.
In the app you describe the job and add photos and the address. Tradespeople send a bid for each job separately: their price, timing and a short message. You compare prices, ratings and reviews and pick one person per job. You pay the tradesperson directly, and the tradesperson issues the invoice.
Whoever did the work answers for it. They redo their own fitting; uneven walls, old pipes and someone else’s mistakes are not on them. The app takes orders from anywhere in Poland. If you’re in the capital, see what kitchen renovation in Warsaw covers.
Common questions
How much does kitchen fitting cost?
In the price list, fitting a full set of kitchen units is 20–25% of the furniture price. Whether the worktop, joints and cut-outs are included or charged separately, agree with the tradesperson in the bid: in the price list they are separate items.
Will the tradesperson bring the units or worktop?
No. You buy the units, worktop, appliances and materials yourself. The platform doesn’t sell furniture or design kitchens.
Who connects a gas cooker?
Only a tradesperson with gas qualifications. Their profile in the app shows whether those have been verified. Moving a gas pipe can’t be ordered through the platform.
Does an induction hob need its own circuit?
Usually, yes, with its own breaker in the fuse box. Check before buying the hob. Connecting to an existing supply costs from 250 to 400 zł in the price list; a new circuit is priced by an electrician after a visit.
Can I order a kitchen renovation outside Warsaw?
Yes, the app takes orders from anywhere in Poland. The way of adding things up in this article works anywhere, only the rates may differ.
Gather the measurements and photos, then describe your kitchen in the app. Tradespeople send their prices for each job, and you choose who to work with.
