Who issues the invoice or receipt?
In short The professional, because you conclude the contract with them and pay them. The platform isn't a party to that contract and doesn't issue a document for the work.
The professional issues the document for the work. You conclude the contract with them, not with HandyMan24, and pay them directly. The professional works on their own account, so billing for the work is on their side.
Check who you’re dealing with
Every offer shows one of these labels:
- “Business”: the professional has declared that they run a business;
- “Private person”: they have declared that they don’t.
We rely on their declaration and on register data, if we have checked it.
Ask before you choose
If you need an invoice, say so in messages before you choose the professional. That way you know where you stand straight away, and the answer stays in the conversation.
With a private person, also remember that consumer rights law doesn’t apply to the contract with them. The Civil Code still applies, including its rules on liability for defects in the work.
