What are the “before” and “after” photos for?
In short They document that the work was done. The professional takes them in the app, and they help in a dispute or complaint.
They record how things were and how they are now. The professional takes a photo of each piece of work in the app before starting and after finishing. If a dispute or complaint comes up, the staff member has something to base the decision on.
Who sees them
- the parties to the contract, meaning you and the professional;
- in a dispute, also our staff member.
Photos in a review
When you leave a review, you can attach the “before” and “after” photos from that contract and add up to 10 of your own.
No “before” photo
Sometimes there’s no signal on site. A missing “before” photo because of a network failure is not in itself evidence that the work wasn’t done. In a dispute, the staff member also looks at the messages and both sides’ explanations.
