1.3.1
How do I compare offers and choose a professional?
In short Each offer shows the price, rating, number of reviews and verification level. The order of the list doesn't depend on any of these, so the comparing is up to you.
Offers are grouped by piece of work: for each one you see only the offers for it. Active ones sit above inactive ones, and newer above older. That’s all. The order doesn’t depend on price, rating or verification level, and no one can pay for a higher position. The “Why this order?” link next to the list explains this.
What to look at
- the offer price;
- the rating and number of reviews (with fewer than 3 reviews, you’ll see the label “New pro” instead of an average);
- the identity level: “Identity confirmed” or “Identity not checked”;
- “Business” or “Private person”, based on the professional’s declaration;
- confirmed professional qualifications, if the professional has added any.
With a private person, keep in mind that consumer rights law, such as the right of withdrawal, doesn’t apply to the contract with them. The Civil Code still does.
Before you choose
Ask in messages about the date, an invoice or card payment. An offer that doesn’t suit you can be rejected with the “Not for me” button. That’s your choice, and the professional faces no consequences for it.
