What is the price range shown with a job?

In short A guide built on platform data. It isn't a price: each professional sets the price of each piece of work in their offer.

For work from the catalogue, the range shows roughly what to expect. We build it from platform data. It isn’t a HandyMan24 price or an offer, and nobody has to stick to it.

Where the real price comes from

Each professional gives their own price for each piece of work in their offer. If you entered a quantity (metres, pieces, hours), the professional gives a rate per unit, and the offer price is that rate times your quantity. The professional doesn’t change the quantity.

So it pays to give the quantity as accurately as you can. Square metres are mandatory; pieces and hours can be approximate.

An offer above or below the range

That’s normal. The professional may also see indicative amounts, but the price field isn’t filled in for them, and a price outside the range has no consequences on the platform. You compare the offers and decide.

If it turns out on site that there’s more work, the professional has to propose a change on the platform. The price doesn’t change without your consent.
