“Before” and “after” photos: when and why?

In short You take them in the app for each piece of work, before you start and after you finish. They're your evidence in a dispute or a complaint.

You take the “before” photo in the app before starting each piece of work, and the “after” photo once it’s finished. They document that the work was done.

When they help

  • In a dispute: the staff member reviewing the case looks at the photos, the messages and both parties’ explanations.
  • In a complaint after the contract is confirmed.
  • When a contract is cancelled: if photos already exist, a commission refund isn’t proposed automatically. We review the case by hand.

Who sees them

The parties to the contract and, in a dispute, a staff member. The client can attach them to their review.

No signal on site

If you can’t take the “before” photo because of a network failure, the missing photo on its own doesn’t prove that the work wasn’t done.
