Profile photo rules for Professionals

In short Which profile photos we accept, why we reject some and how to add yours. A photo is required for the “Identity confirmed” level.

The photo has to show you: your own face, not someone else’s, not a logo and not a picture from the internet.

Good: whole face visible, daylight, plain background

Why we ask for a photo

  1. The client sees the photo on your Professional page and knows who is coming.
  2. Without a photo you stay at the “Identity not checked” level. You can still work and respond to Jobs, but you don’t get urgent Jobs and there is a limit on how many deals you can run at once.

Which photos we accept

One that shows you. A person from our team looks at every photo before clients see it.

When we reject a photo

  • it shows someone else’s face;
  • there is a logo or a picture instead of a person;
  • it is an image found on the internet.

We tell you why, and you can upload a different photo.

Who sees the photo

Clients see it on your Professional page. Before we publish it, we remove the details your phone saved in the file: where and when the photo was taken and the phone model.

If you delete the photo

You lose the “Identity confirmed” level from that moment. Earlier deals are not recalculated. You can upload a photo again.

Moving from the old app

Upload your photo again. Old photos don’t carry over to the new HandyMan24 app.

How to add your photo

  1. Open the “Profile” tab.
  2. Tap “Verification and level”.
  3. In the “Your photo” field, tap “Take a photo” or “Choose from gallery”.
  4. Fill in the rest of the form and send it. The photo goes for checking together with the form, not as a separate step.

Tips (not requirements)

  • your whole face is visible and you look at the camera;
  • there’s daylight or a bright room, with no shadow on your face;
  • the background is plain and you’re the only one in the frame;
  • you’re not wearing dark glasses, a mask or a filter;
  • the photo is recent, so the client recognises you at the door.

Work clothes are fine. The client can see straight away who’s coming.

These rules add to Appendix 6 of the Terms of Service. If anything here differs, the Terms of Service apply.
