Handyman24 Terms of Service
Contents
These terms explain how handyman24.eu and the Handyman24 app work and on what terms you use them. In force from 19 September 2026.
§ 1. Who runs the service
The service is run by Oleksandr Chumakov, sole trader, ul. Zbigniewa Herberta 37 lok. 2, 05-120 Legionowo, Poland, NIP 5361994183.
Contact: info@handyman24.eu and the order form on the site.
§ 2. What we do, and what we do not
Handyman24 puts people who need a tradesperson in touch with tradespeople who work for themselves. The job, the quote and the settlement run through the app.
- we do not carry out repair or installation work; the tradesperson you find through the service does;
- tradespeople are not our employees and do not act on our behalf;
- the contract for the work is between you and the tradesperson, not between you and us;
- the document for the work done is issued by the tradesperson.
We answer for how the site and the app work. The tradesperson who did the job answers for how it went and how it turned out.
§ 3. How a job runs
- you describe the task in your own words and can attach photos;
- you see a range from the price list: a guide for a typical scope;
- the tradesperson looks at the task and names the exact amount before starting;
- you accept that amount or walk away — until then you pay nothing;
- once the work is done you settle with the tradesperson.
A range from the price list is not an offer in the legal sense. What binds is the amount the tradesperson names after seeing the job.
§ 4. Prices and what they cover
- fixings are included in the price of the work;
- materials are paid for separately;
- waste removal and carrying materials in are paid for separately;
- the minimum order amount is stated in the price list and in the app, and may change;
- catalogue prices are updated; what binds is the amount you agreed with the tradesperson before the start.
§ 5. Cancelling and moving a booking
You can move or cancel a booking in the app or by writing to info@handyman24.eu. If the tradesperson has already travelled to you or bought materials for your job, they may charge those costs, and will say so before setting off.
A tradesperson may also cancel. In that case we offer another one or hand the decision back to you.
§ 6. Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer and agreed with the tradesperson at a distance, you have fourteen days to withdraw from the contract for the work. The right runs against the tradesperson, because the contract is with them.
If you expressly ask for the work to start before that period ends and it is fully performed, the right to withdraw lapses. If the work was started but not finished, you pay for the part completed at the moment of withdrawal.
§ 7. Complaints
Complaints about work done go to the tradesperson who did it. You can copy info@handyman24.eu — we pass the complaint on and record it in that tradesperson’s history. A tradesperson who ignores complaints can have their access to jobs limited or withdrawn.
Complaints about the site or the app itself are handled by us. We reply within fourteen days to the address the complaint came from.
A consumer may use out-of-court routes, including the district or municipal consumer ombudsman (rzecznik konsumentów) and the permanent consumer arbitration court at the regional Trade Inspection authority (stały polubowny sąd konsumencki). The Polish names are given because that is what these bodies are called.
§ 8. What the tradesperson answers for, and what they do not
The tradesperson answers for the quality of their own work and puts their own mistakes right. They do not answer for work someone else did before them, for the state of the substrate and structure, or for defects that could not be seen before the work began.
If the scope turns out to be larger than agreed, the tradesperson stops and agrees the next step with you. A new scope means a new amount.
§ 9. Your account
- you create the account yourself and give real contact details;
- you do not pass access to it to anyone else;
- you can delete it in the app or by writing to info@handyman24.eu;
- an account used for fraud, threats or a stream of invented orders will be blocked.
§ 10. What you upload
Task descriptions, photos and reviews stay yours. By adding them you agree that we show them to the tradespeople we pass the job to, and reviews to other users. Unlawful or abusive content, and other people’s work passed off as your own, is not published and is removed.
§ 11. Personal data
How data is processed is set out in the Privacy policy. The list of cookies and third-party tools is in the Cookies policy.
§ 12. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms — for instance when the app changes or the law does. We announce any change on the site fourteen days ahead. Jobs accepted before a change are finished on the terms that applied then.
§ 13. Governing law
Anything not covered here is governed by Polish law, including the Civil Code, the Consumer Rights Act and the Act on providing services by electronic means. Nothing here limits consumer rights granted by mandatory provisions of law.
