Floor panel replacement in Warsaw — old out, new in, one visit
When panels are scuffed, warped, or the joints have gone loose, replacement makes more sense than patching them up. A laminate replacement includes taking out the old floor, inspecting the subfloor, and fitting the new one. If you book the whole job in one visit, you pay for one call-out, not two. We work all over Warsaw, from Żoliborz to Wilanów.
Replacement cost

The price depends on the size of the area and on the kind of old and new flooring. Removal and fitting are priced separately — check the current rates in the table. Disposal of old flooring is charged separately. Materials are provided by the client.

How the replacement works

- Inspection: the technician checks the old floor and the base underneath.
- Skirting boards and old panels are removed — click-lock panels are dismantled row by row, glued panels are pried up.
- The old underlay is taken out; the screed is inspected for cracks and damp.
- If required, the screed is evened out with a self-levelling compound.
- A new vapour barrier and underlay are installed.
- New panels are laid with proper expansion gaps and in the right direction.
- Skirting boards and thresholds are installed.
Mistakes during floor replacement

- Putting new laminate on the old underlay — it is already flattened, so the new floor will start creaking.
- Skipping the screed check — moisture or cracks can be hiding under the old panels.
- Buying panels with no extra stock — always allow 5–10 % for cuts and defects.
- Ignoring acclimatisation — new panels should stay in the room for at least 24 hours.
- Leaving the old skirting boards — they may not suit the height of the new floor.
What to prepare

- Remove furniture from the room.
- Buy new panels, underlay, and film (with a margin).
- The panels should remain in the flat for at least 24 hours.
- Prepare waste bags for the old flooring.
- Sort out access and parking.
A real case from Warsaw

A flat in Ochota, 35 m² — the owners wanted to renew the laminate after ten years. The old 7 mm panels were removed in two hours; the underlay was falling apart in your hands. The screed was even but dried out — it was primed. By the evening, new 8 mm laminate with a cork underlay was installed. One visit, one day — turnkey (compatible with Quick-Step, Egger, Kronopol and similar).
Frequently asked questions
Does the old laminate have to be removed?
Yes. Manufacturers do not allow laminate to be laid on top of laminate — the floor level will rise, doors will stop opening, and the warranty will be lost.
Is partial panel replacement possible?
Only if you have spare panels from the same batch. Otherwise the locks will not fit or the colour shade will be different.
How long does a full replacement take?
A 15–20 m² room (removal + installation) — one full working day. A 50 m² flat — 1.5 to 2 days.
