Floor panel replacement in Warsaw — old out, new in, one visit
13.02.2026Floor panel replacement in Warsaw — old out, new in, one visit
Panels are worn, buckled, or the locks have loosened — replacing is easier than repairing. A laminate swap covers removing the old floor, checking the subfloor, and laying the new one. Book it all in a single visit and you pay for one call-out instead of two. We work across Warsaw, from Żoliborz to Wilanów.
Replacement cost
Prices depend on the area, the type of old and new flooring. Removal and installation are quoted separately — see the current rates in the table. Waste disposal is a separate charge. Materials are supplied by the client.

How the replacement works
- Inspection: the technician assesses the old floor and the substrate beneath.
- Skirting boards and old panels are removed — click-lock panels are taken apart row by row, glued panels are lifted.
- Old underlay is removed; the screed is checked for cracks and moisture.
- If needed, the screed is levelled with a self-levelling compound.
- New vapour barrier and underlay are laid.
- New panels are installed with correct expansion gaps and laying direction.
- Skirting boards and thresholds are fitted.
Mistakes during floor replacement
- Laying new laminate on the old underlay — it has already compressed; the new floor will creak.
- Not checking the screed — moisture or cracks may lurk under the old panels.
- Buying panels with no margin — always add 5–10 % for cuts and defects.
- Skipping acclimatisation — new panels need at least 24 hours in the room.
- Keeping old skirting boards — they may not match the height of the new floor.
What to prepare
- Clear the room of furniture.
- Purchase new panels, underlay, and film (with a margin).
- Panels should sit in the flat for at least 24 hours.
- Have waste bags ready for the old floor.
- Arrange access and parking.
A real case from Warsaw
A flat in Ochota, 35 m² — the owners decided to refresh the laminate after ten years. The old 7 mm panels came up in two hours; the underlay crumbled in the hands. The screed was level but had dried out — it was primed. By evening new 8 mm laminate with a cork underlay was down. One visit, one day — turnkey.
Frequently asked questions
Must the old laminate come up?
Yes. Manufacturers prohibit laying laminate on laminate — the floor will be higher, doors won’t open, and the warranty is voided.
Can panels be replaced partially?
Only if you have spare panels from the same batch. Otherwise the locks won’t match or the shade will differ.
How long does a full replacement take?
A 15–20 m² room (removal + installation) — a full working day. A 50 m² flat — 1.5 to 2 days.
