2.1.1
Do I need a registered business?
In short Not to start. You work for yourself, as a private person or as a business. You choose the form and how you settle your taxes.
On HandyMan24 everyone works for themselves. You set your own prices, hours and way of working, and you pick the form of accounting that fits your situation. There is nothing to adjust to on our side.
How it usually goes
Many professionals start with działalność nierejestrowana (unregistered activity, allowed in Poland while income stays within a limit). When the work grows, they open a sole proprietorship (JDG) or a company. The limit changes every year; you’ll find the current amount on biznes.gov.pl or from an accountant. We don’t give tax advice.
What this changes on the platform
- With every offer of yours, the client sees whether you have declared that you are an entrepreneur.
- You can confirm your identity either way: a business gives its NIP (tax ID) and we check it in the registers, a private person shows a document.
- The commission rate is the same for everyone.
Tax data
With your first contract we’ll ask for data for the DAC7 report. This applies to every professional, with a business or without. Providing the data doesn’t create a new tax; the details are on the Taxes and DAC7 page.
