2.5.2
How do I price the work in an offer?
In short Count your rate, your time including travel, and whatever the client can't see in the photo. Say plainly what's included and what's charged separately.
You set the price yourself, for each piece of work separately. If the client has given a quantity (metres, pieces, hours), you enter a rate per unit, and the offer price is the rate times the client’s quantity. You don’t change the quantity.
What to include
- The time for the work itself and travel, including trips to the shop or waiting for the client.
- Setting up and cleaning up after yourself: sheeting, vacuuming, taking away small bits of waste.
- Risks you can’t see in the photo: uneven walls, old installations, seized screws.
- Commission. You see how much you’ll pay before sending the offer.
What to state separately
Most professionals include fixings in the price of the work, while the client buys the materials or pays for them separately. Rubble removal and carrying materials in are usually a separate item. Put this in the offer comment before the client chooses you.
Indicative amounts
You may see indicative amounts with the job. They’re only a hint: the price field stays empty, and a higher or lower price changes nothing on the platform. Remember too that one contract is at least 300 zł.
Price the work so you don’t have to raise the price on site. If there really is more work, you propose a change on the platform, and the client accepts it or not. Frequently pushing the amount above your offer counts as a violation.
