How does a dispute work and who decides it?
In short You open a dispute on the contract any time from choosing the professional until confirmation. Our staff member decides it, but only on platform matters: the contract status and the commission.
Either party can open a dispute, from the moment the professional is chosen until the contract is confirmed. Our staff member reviews it.
- Choose a reason from the list.
- Describe the problem.
- Add photos, if you have any.
Once a dispute is open, the contract status is frozen. Other contracts from the same job carry on as normal.
What the decision is based on
Platform messages, photos (including “before” and “after”) and both sides’ explanations. The staff member decides whether the contract ends as “Confirmed” or “Cancelled” and whether the professional gets a commission refund. You both see the reasons.
You disagree with the decision
Challenge it through “Help”. It’s reviewed again by a different administrator, provided we have more than one staff member, and always with written reasons.
What a dispute doesn’t settle
The parties’ claims against each other, for example who owes whom and how much. You paid the professional directly. Matters like that are resolved between you, in court, or before an out-of-court body you choose. A consumer can get free help from a consumer ombudsman, and the list of bodies is at polubowne.uokik.gov.pl.
