How do I arrange a date, and what if I’m running late?
In short Agree a specific day and time in the messages, and let the client know straight away about any change. Not turning up without notice is a violation.
You arrange the date after being chosen, in the platform messages or by phone. It’s best to sum it up in a message afterwards: the conversation stays, so if there’s a misunderstanding, you can see what you agreed.
How to arrange it
- Give a time window you can really keep to.
- Ask about the intercom, the floor and parking. It saves you a quarter of an hour outside the building.
- Confirm the visit with one message the day before.
- If you gave a date in your offer and it passes, the offer expires.
When things go wrong
Write as soon as you know you’ll be late. Give a new time, not just “I’ll be later”. A client who knows where they stand usually understands.
Not turning up without notice and missing the agreed date without the client’s consent are violations. The client can also report that you didn’t turn up, and a human checks the case.
The client isn’t responding and you can’t set a date? The first cancellation within 30 days because you can’t reach the client isn’t a violation.
